These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and RAIZ VENTURES, LLC ("RAÍZ," "we," "us," "our") for your access to and use of the RAÍZ service, including our website, applications, and the advisor experience (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, accepting an invitation, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
RAÍZ is early and evolving, offered right now to a small founding cohort by personal invitation. Your access is personal to you, non-transferable, and revocable — invitation codes and accounts are for the individual they're issued to, and we may modify, suspend, or end access at any time. Features may change, pause, or be removed, and the Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis while we build. We'll do our best to keep it running well, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted, complete, or error-free.
Because RAÍZ is a private founding-cohort beta, you agree to keep the non-public portions of the Service reasonably confidential. Unless RAÍZ gives you written permission, you may not publicly post, publish, broadcast, record, distribute, or demonstrate non-public advisor experiences, unreleased features, recommendations, interfaces, or other beta materials, or allow another person to access your account. Please use it fully and tell us what you think — this restriction is intended to protect the trusted space in which we're building together.
You access RAÍZ through the authentication methods we make available, and one account is for one person. You are responsible for keeping your email account, authentication credentials, devices, and invitation code secure, and for the activity under your account. Tell us at support@raiz.travel if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
Use RAÍZ for its intended purpose: planning and remembering your own travel. You agree that you will not, and will not help or permit anyone else to:
You retain ownership of the information and original content you provide to RAÍZ — your travel preferences, trips and itineraries, conversations, saved places, and companions ("User Content"). RAÍZ uses that information to create personalized recommendations, itineraries, insights, and your RAÍZ Portrait ("Personalized Results"), and you may use your Personalized Results for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
You grant RAÍZ a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, and use your User Content solely to operate, secure, personalize, and improve the Service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You're responsible for having the right to share what you provide — for example, that you have permission to add details about the people you travel with. You may contact us to request access to, a copy of, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to the limitations described in our Privacy Policy.
RAÍZ does not use your User Content to train a general-purpose AI model, and does not permit third-party AI providers to use it for their own model training, except where we clearly disclose that use and obtain any consent required by law. RAÍZ retains ownership of the Service and of the software, methods, advisor experiences, templates, presentation, and proprietary logic used to produce your Personalized Results; nothing here transfers any of that to you.
We'd love your honest reactions, and if you send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback about RAÍZ, you agree we may use them freely to improve the Service without any obligation, restriction, or compensation to you. You don't have to send us feedback, but if you do, it helps us build.
Your RAÍZ advisor is an AI-powered guide, and itineraries, suggestions, and other recommendations are generated to help you plan. They are informational only. Details like hours, prices, availability, closures, reservations, health and safety conditions, and entry, visa, or travel requirements change constantly — so please confirm anything important directly with the venue or an official source before you rely on it. RAÍZ recommendations are not professional travel, medical, legal, financial, or safety advice. RAÍZ is not a travel agency and does not currently book, sell, ticket, or guarantee any third-party travel service; where we link to or mention third parties, we're not responsible for them, and your dealings with them are between you and them.
RAÍZ — including the Service, its software, design, brand, the advisor personas and experiences, and the proprietary logic behind its recommendations and Portrait — belongs to RAIZ VENTURES, LLC and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms don't give you any ownership of RAÍZ or license to it beyond the right to use the Service as intended. "RAÍZ," the RAÍZ logo, "RAÍZ Portrait," "RAÍZ Portraits," and other RAÍZ names, logos, and branding are trademarks or service marks of RAIZ VENTURES, LLC.
You can stop using RAÍZ at any time, and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or end your access — including for breach of these Terms, misuse, or to protect the Service or other people — and, where reasonable, we'll tell you. If your access ends, the sections meant to survive (including permitted-use restrictions, intellectual property, feedback, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) continue to apply.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. RAÍZ does not warrant that recommendations are accurate, current, complete, or suitable, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RAIZ VENTURES, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of a beta service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, RAÍZ's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid RAÍZ during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US $100. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
RAÍZ is free to use during this beta. If we introduce paid plans in the future, their price, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms will be presented to you clearly before you're charged, and your continued use of any paid feature will be subject to those additional terms.
RAÍZ is a service for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use it, and by using RAÍZ you confirm that you are.
Because RAÍZ is in beta, these Terms will evolve. When we make material changes, we'll update the version and effective date above, give you direct notice, and ask you to review and accept the updated Terms before you continue.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you and RAÍZ consent to their jurisdiction — except where applicable law gives you a right to bring a claim elsewhere.
