This policy explains what RAIZ VENTURES, LLC ("RAÍZ," "we," "us") collects when you use RAÍZ, why we collect it, who processes it for us, and the choices and rights you have.
RAÍZ works by building a living understanding of how you travel — your RAÍZ Portrait. That understanding comes from three kinds of information:
To make each journey begin further along than the last, RAÍZ uses AI to distill patterns and insights from the information above into your RAÍZ Portrait — for example, recurring tastes, travel rhythms, and "things remembered" about how you like to move through a place. These inferences are our interpretation to personalize the Service for you; they can be imperfect, and you can review, correct, or delete them at any time.
We use your information to provide, secure, personalize, and improve RAÍZ: to pair you with an advisor, plan and remember your journeys, keep you signed in, respond to support, and make recommendations that fit you. Your Portrait and trip history exist for one purpose — to make RAÍZ more useful to you over time. We do not use your private Portrait, conversations, or trips to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Your advisor and the distillation of your Portrait are powered by artificial intelligence. AI helps generate itineraries and interpret your preferences, but it is informational and can be wrong — see the accuracy note in our Terms. You always keep the ability to review your Portrait, correct it, and tell your advisor when something isn't right.
RAÍZ runs on trusted third-party providers that process information on our behalf, only to provide the Service, and under their own terms:
We share only what is needed to operate RAÍZ. Where a provider offers it, we use configurations intended to keep your content from being used to train their models, and we'll continue to prefer providers and settings that protect your information.
RAÍZ uses essential browser storage to provide the Service, keep accounts secure, remember your settings, and preserve your work. This storage is necessary for the features you request and cannot be disabled through our analytics settings.
With your permission, RAÍZ also uses Google Analytics 4 to understand general usage patterns — such as which parts of the experience are used and whether features work successfully. We do not use advertising cookies, sell personal information, or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not send your RAÍZ Portrait, travel preferences, conversation content, or personal travel details to Google Analytics.
Analytics is off unless you choose “Allow analytics.” Declining does not change how RAÍZ works, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time through Cookie settings in the footer. Google Analytics may store identifiers beginning with _ga for up to two years, subject to your choices and browser settings. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Over time, RAÍZ may let you connect outside services — for example, photos, email, calendar, or reservations — to make your trips richer. Any such connection will be entirely optional and will ask for your specific permission at the moment you connect it, explaining what it accesses and why. We will use that access only for the stated purpose, retain the minimum needed, and let you disconnect at any time. We will never quietly enable these through this policy alone.
You remain in control of the information you share with RAÍZ. You may:
Email support@raiz.travel with “Privacy Request” in the subject and the email associated with your account, and tell us what you’d like. We’ll verify the request and respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local law; we’ll honor those that apply.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. When you ask us to delete your Portrait, trip history, or account, we’ll delete or de-identify it, except anything we’re required to retain by law.
We take reasonable measures to protect the information you share — including access controls and row-level protections so your information is reachable only by you. No online service can promise perfect security, and we won’t claim otherwise, but protecting your information is a priority in how we build. If a breach affecting your information occurs, we’ll notify you as required by applicable law.
We may use aggregated or de-identified information — which does not identify you and cannot reasonably be linked back to you — to understand travel patterns, measure and improve RAÍZ, and describe the Service. This is never your identifiable Portrait or travel history.
RAÍZ is a service for adults. It is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us information, contact us and we’ll remove it.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll update the version and effective date above, give you direct notice, and ask you to review it before you continue.
RAÍZ is operated by RAIZ VENTURES, LLC. To make a privacy request — access, correction, export, deletion, or to withdraw consent — email support@raiz.travel with “Privacy Request” in the subject and the email associated with your account. For any other question, the same address reaches a person.
